A The maori new year and a time to celebrate people,culture,language,spirtuality and history.

A: It shows how easy it will be to grow crops that year.

A:1. Matariki looks like a mini southern cross with 3 extra stars.
2.Matariki was a time when the tribes got together and celebrated because all the hard work was over and they had enough food to last until spring.
3 There are many legends about how matariki Came to be in the sky.
Q:Why do you think it is still an important celebration?
A:It has been going for a long time so I think it should be celebrated for as long as possible.
